WE ARE CURRENTLY MEETING IN PERSON AND WATCHING FOR DEVELOPMENTS WITH COVID-19 FROM THE PROVINCE

We are excited to be having in-person worship services again. – Please preregister through Eventbrite.

There will be various feelings about this – if you were a traffic light, you might be green, yellow, or red. We recognize and respect your feelings concerning regathering. Be assured that there is not pressure, no judgement, and no problem with this. Choose what is best for you and your family: in-person or online.

We will continue with our online broadcast during the service, so you can choose either option. There are many reasons for not attending in-person and we want you to still have the ability to engage with God and the church online.

There are several safety enhancements in place for our worship service:

  • Masks will be mandatory for all over two years old. We understand that there can be reason why someone is unable to wear a mask, and believe the loving thing would be to participate online if you or your children are unable to. We have some disposable masks available but encourage you to bring your own, if you can.
  • Everyone will be asked about their health from a checklist of symptoms to watch for. This is merely due diligence in doing our best to have safe worship environment. If you are experiencing any covid-like symptoms not related to pre-existing illness or health conditions, you will be kindly asked to go home, self-isolate and get yourself tested.
  • REGISTERING FOR THE SERVICE is encouraged so we can set up chairs properly. Physical distancing is still required, so individuals and families will need to be 2m from others.
  • The main glass doors will be for entry only – people will exit the building beside the upstairs nursery. Directives from Alberta Health strongly recommend this. There is clear signage to direct the flow of people through the building.
  • Hand washing/sanitizing will be encouraged. We will have hand sanitizer in several locations.
  • Washroom access will be limited. Only three people will be allowed in a washroom at any time to allow for proper distancing. Some sinks and urinals are also blocked off for distancing purposes.
  • No food or beverages will be offered. If you need something for your children, please bring it with you.
  • Initially, there will be no children’s ministry. Our Kids’ Church will still have messages online with printable activity sheets. The nurseries are closed.
  • Leaders on stage will be allowed to remove their masks when leading the service, but must put them on again before leaving the platform. People on stage will still do their best to be physically distant if from different households/cohorts.
  • Waivers will be presented for signing. Our insurance company strongly recommends ensuring adults acknowledge that attending gatherings during a pandemic has risk to it. Regular attenders can merely sign once for themselves, and their children if applicable.
  • Active camera surveillance is now in the building. While this is not directly part of our Covid-19 protection measures, we wanted you to be aware. We will also be installing cameras on the exterior of the building to improve safety and security.

Sunday mornings at 10:30am we gather together to be encouraged, encourage others and give glory to God through it. We dress casually and enjoy contemporary praise and worship songs. Children join in on the singing and then have a separate teaching time geared to them. Adults and youth normally are encouraged and challenged by our lead pastor. We aim to conclude the service by noon.
