Your majesties:
We have begun a journey down the road of royalty. Just as Jesus was born a king (Mt 2:2), so we also are born again into the Kingdom of God as kings and queens (1 Pe 2:9; Rev 1:6). This journey is important to us because what we believe about ourselves affects how we act and live (Prov 23:7; Mt 12:35). Those who realize that they are born into royalty grow up with a different understanding of their significance, resources and responsibilities. They believe these things from their hearts. They have a sense of identity that is different than that commoner.
The truth sets us free (Jn 8:32). If you convince an eagle that it is a chicken, it will never soar to great heights. If you convince a king that he is a commoner, then he will never understand his true authority and power. There is a great deal of freedom that the church walks in from a personal perspective. However, there is a greater impact we can have in our community as we come to recognize the battle of the Kingdom of Light against the kingdom of darkness and of our positions in God’s Kingdom as kings and queens in that battle. As we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth, we will grow in this.
Your royal majesties, it is my pleasure to call us to greater heights, greater thoughts and greater deeds. Join in on the journey.
Many blessings,
Pastor Merril
